We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Owner to lead the strategy, innovation, and end-to-end lifecycle of our telecom product portfolio. This role plays a critical part in driving revenue growth, enhancing customer experience, and strengthening market differentiation across our services.
Operating at a senior strategic level, the Senior Product Owner identifies new market opportunities, shapes long-term product roadmaps, and ensures the successful delivery of high-impact propositions. The role oversees the performance of multiple product lines, leads and develops a team of Product Owners or Product Specialists, and works closely with senior stakeholders to align product vision, commercial priorities, and customer needs.
Key responsibilities
- Define, evolve, and communicate the long-term product strategy across services, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and competitive positioning.
- Identify new market opportunities and drive innovation through the development of new product lines or the evolution of existing ones.
- Lead portfolio planning, prioritisation, and investment decisions based on customer insights, market dynamics, and return on investment.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of multiple products, from concept and development to launch, optimisation, and retirement.
- Ensure products consistently deliver strong customer value, excellent customer experience, and sustainable commercial performance.
- Collaborate closely with Technology, Legal, Regulatory, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure feasibility, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Track and analyse portfolio-level performance, including revenues, ARPU, churn, and ROI.
- Provide strategic recommendations on pricing, promotions, product upgrades, and profitability improvement initiatives.
- Oversee reporting for senior leadership and contribute to business planning, forecasting, and strategic reviews.
- Guide the development of CRM and customer engagement initiatives focused on acquisition, retention, upsell, and lifetime value.
- Monitor the competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and market trends to maintain market relevance and differentiation.
- Use data, analytics, and customer research to identify unmet needs and develop insight-driven propositions.
- Oversee customer journeys across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring optimisation of value, satisfaction, and consistency.
- Lead cross-functional go-to-market execution, including proposition definition, pricing, positioning, and launch activities.
- Ensure Sales and Customer Care teams are fully equipped with training, materials, and clear positioning to support successful adoption.
- Act as a senior point of alignment between Marketing, Sales, Technology, Customer Experience, and Finance.
- Represent product strategy, roadmap, and performance in senior leadership forums.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Owners or Product Specialists, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Provide guidance and best practices on product methodologies, roadmap planning, and customer-centric thinking across the product team.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills.
- Proven stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, marketing, business development, or related commercial roles.
- Solid understanding of telecom technologies, including mobile, fixed, and digital services.
- Experience managing complex product portfolios and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Previous experience within the telecom or technology industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong expertise in product lifecycle management and roadmap planning.
- Experience in customer journey mapping across digital and physical touchpoints.
- Understanding of budgeting, pricing models, and commercial frameworks.
- Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments while managing competing priorities.
